Low Flutes

Wendy discovered her affinity for low flutes during her long tenure with Flute Force. In addition to the Flute Force recordings The Baths of Caracalla by Elizabeth Brown and Silver Halo by Joseph Schwantner, Wendy has performed and recorded ensemble pieces by Matthias Ziegler, Ali Ryerson, Katherine Hoover, Joseph Schwantner, Michael Daugherty, Adrienne Albert, Elizabeth Brown, Gary Shocker, David Roitstein, Alyssa Mercedes Mena, Amanda Harberg and Daniel Dorff.  

With the New Jersey Symphony, she has performed the solo alto flute in Ravel’s Daphnis and Chloe, Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring and Holst’s The Planets. Wendy was the featured bass flute soloist in American Composers Orchestra’s production of Journey LIVE at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and in the premiere of Tilmann Dehnhard’s MYCELIUM at the 2025 National Flute Association Conference in Atlanta.
